Rainbow Magnetics Makes Sending Your Artwork Quick and Easy

Rainbow Magnetics has a simple process for submitting your finished artwork for production. Our online send a file is designed to help make the process as convenient as possible for our customers. Our goal is to give you the tools you need to quickly send us your file, provide you with a color PDF proof for your approval and avoid any unnecessary delays in the production your custom magnet.

Sending Rainbow Magnetics Your File

Rainbow Magnetics’ online send a file is a quick and accurate way to provide your artwork for production. Plus, you won’t have to worry about the file size or complications associated with sending artwork files via email.

From our send a file page, click on the send a file button and provide your contact information and file specifications. Next, select the files from your computer that you wish to send and click the upload button.

You will receive an email confirming that Rainbow Magnetics has received your files. Within two hours of receiving your file, we will review the artwork, images and fonts, and send you a PDF proof for approval.

Accepted File Formats for Artwork

Rainbow Magnetics accepts print-ready artwork in the following file formats:

QuarkXpress PC* or Macintosh: up to 5.01. Because a Quark EPS is still font dependent, we would prefer art to be created as Illustrator EPS with fonts converted to curves/outlines. * There may be font issues if we don’t have your fonts on our Macs. We will substitute with the closest type.

Adobe Illustrator for Macintosh: up to version 10 EPS, PDF or .ai (PC versions: Please convert fonts to curves/outlines).

Adobe Photoshop: EPS, TIFF and a layered PSD, if available. Please include fonts and convert all files to CMYK.

Corel Draw for Macintosh: up to version 11 EPS, PDF or CDR (PC versions: Please convert fonts to curves/outlines).

Pagemaker and InDesign: Please save your artwork as eps files, include the fonts and a PDF or Color Printout.

Publisher, Powerpoint or Word. Rainbow Magnetics is unable to guarantee that these files will print to your expectations because editing and color manipulation is very unreliable. If these are the only programs available to you for designing your artwork, please contact us at (800) 248-6200 for assistance.

All files should be compressed with Stuffit or WinZip.

FAQs about Sending Artwork to Rainbow Magnetics

1. I would like to supply finished artwork but I don’t have one of the accepted formats. What do I do?

Rainbow Magnetics can accept most file formats as long as a few steps are completed. Please convert all fonts to curves/outlines whenever possible (If you are unable to convert fonts to curves, please provide True Type or Type 1 fonts for all artwork submitted. Note that discrepancies may occur when fonts are transferred across different platforms and applications. A PDF, JPG, Tiff or color printout of your artwork must be supplied if you are providing fonts.) Please output as a PDF or EPS file in order to ensure that all of your specifications are followed. Then, supply your own Logo or Printed Materials for us to finish the artwork.

2. Can Rainbow Magnentics create artwork for our magnet based on a mock-up?

We accept virtually any materials you would like to provide and create artwork for your magnet or mailable magnet. We can produce designs based on your sketches, drawings, business cards and mock-ups. There is a one time $35.00 charge for us to scan your photographs and logos on our high-resolution scanners.

3. What do you charge for graphic production?

The first twenty (20) minutes of design time is included in the quoted price for your magnet. This is usually sufficient time to layout a promotional magnet or business card magnet. If you require additional time to produce the right design, we can provide this service at $150.00 per hour.

4. How do I know that my design will appear correctly on the finished products?

Rainbow Magnetics is focused on meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations. We will always supply a proof for your approval before printing. The first set of design changes, if required, are free of charge. Third and subsequent proofs will be charged at $20.00 per proof rendered.
